There are some strange yellow entries on my homepage. What's wrong with them?
Nothing's wrong with them. These are the items that are new or updated since you last visited www.opkg.org.
I found a dead link to a package/page. What should I do?
Please use our contact form to send the dead link to the site admin. Someone will then look after it.
I would like to upload my own packages! Where can I do this?
It's pretty simple: Register for a free account on the homepage and start publishing your own packages. If you have questions you may look at the «member section» on this help page.
What can I do with a registered account?
With a registered account you can upload your own packages. Furthermore you are able to edit/update all the other packages in the database and help www.opkg.org to stay up-to-date!
Is there a repository?
No. But we are planning to set up one soon. (If we are in year 2010 already, someone please write me that I am a stupid ***hole for making empty promises.)
I lost my password. How can I get a new one?
Just click on the «lost password» link beside the login form on the homepage. A new password will be sent to you. You can later change it back in the settings panel.
How can I upload my own package?
You'll find the «add new package» link on the homepage. There you just have to fill out the whole form and upload your package or provide a link to it on another server. The package will be immideately added to the database.
I made a mistake while uploading the package. Can I edit it?
Of course. Just use the «Edit» link beside the package's name in the «Your Packages» list on the homepage. You can also open the package and use the edit button on the right hand side of the page.
I want my package to be removed from the database. How can I delete it?
Just use the «Delete» link beside the package's name in the «Your Packages» list on the homepage. You can also open the package and use the delete button on the right hand side of the page. If the package is uploaded by yourself it will be immideately deleted from our database.
Someone uploaded my package without my permission. I want it to be removed. What can I do?
You can do the same thing that is described in the question above. But you won't be able to delete a package that isn't uploaded by yourself. Instead you will be prompted with a contact form to write to the one who uploaded the package. Please use this feature. If you don't get an answer within a couple of days contact the site admin. He will remove the package for you.
Someone edited my package and filled in wrong information. Can I restore an older version?
Yes, you can! Just use the «Restore older version» link beside the package's name in the «Your Packages» list on the homepage. You'll get a list of all version of your package. Just have a look a them and restore the one that fits your needs.
