Using SHR-unstable...

had to install manually libxaw:
http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/feeds/2008/ipk/glibc/armv4t/base/libxaw7-7_1.0.4-r1.1_armv4t.ipk

Then, when launching, I get this error:

$ xboard
xboard: no fonts match pattern -*-helvetica-bold-r-normal--*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

Same error on SHR-testing. Any hint to get it work without modify xorg.conf?

I had to install the engine

$ opkg install gnuchess

and then use fixed (the only xfont available) and gnuchess as the chess engine

$ xboard -font fixed -clockFont fixed -coordFont fixed -firstChessProgram gnuchess
