So it doesn't support WEP?
Is WEP-Support planned for the future?
And does it work with both types of WPA?

doesn't run on om 2008.12

A dependency is python-wifi.

Can you please register a scm for your program?
Maybe you could use projects.openmoko.org? That will encourage others to contribute.. for instance me :)

I run it on om2009. Everytime I click scan, he says "WLAN not enabled.". How can I "enable" it? ifconfig eth0 up doesn't work...

Gigadoc 2 wrote: (2009-07-06 23:08:03)
You have to turn on the Wifi-Antenna, the real hardware. I have no clue how to do this on om2009, on SHR there's a GUI for such things.

Love this thing! I think the SHR-unstable kernel bug (?) is not letting me connect to my WPA though.

Gigadoc 2 wrote: (2009-07-09 14:55:23)
@Jenssss:

I experienced the same bug, but i thougt the reason was manual updating of saskia.py. For the moment, deinstalling and reinstalling Saskia is the easiest solution (but I'm going to fix this)

@theonlyrealperson:
I dont know if theres such a bug, but currently a USB-Network-Connection also stops Wlan from working until next reboot.

OMG finally wireless!! Oh I am so happy thank you

It would be great if saskia was capable to disconnect and turn off wifi. Anyway finally great wifi manager, thanx!

I was happily using Saskia on SHR-unstable until november 2009.
Then I reinstalled my freerunner with the new SHR-testing of december 2009.
Now, I don't manage to install saskia any more because opkg fails with a segmentation fault :
root@om-gta02 ~ $ opkg install http://projects.openmoko.org/frs/download.php/859
/saskia_0.20_armv4t.ipk
Downloading http://projects.openmoko.org/frs/download.php/859/saskia_0.20_armv4t.ipk
Segmentation fault
root@om-gta02 ~ $ opkg install http://www.opkg.org/packages/saskia_0
.20_armv4t.ipk
Downloading http://www.opkg.org/packages/saskia_0.20_armv4t.ipk
Segmentation fault

Any idea why the installation fails?

sander wrote: (2010-01-11 00:38:55)
I made a package for shr testing, and fixed the power-on : http://3v8.net/~sander/openmoko/saskia_0.20-r1.4_armv4t.ipk

sander wrote: (2010-01-11 00:43:01)
oh and I also found that connman is interfering with saskia. Without connman running I get super stable connections :)

mossroy wrote: (2010-01-24 20:39:35)
Great! The package was installed successfully on my shr-testing.
I will try to connect with it

Graziano wrote: (2010-02-28 15:01:44)
On the latest SHR Testing it failed to install:

"Segmentation fault"
