PingusThis is a Freerunner port for the famous Lemmings clone "Pingus". Note: for OM2008.8, you need to have the testing feeds to get recent enough SDL packages.
To install use: opkg install -force-depends http://www.opkg.org/packages/pingus_*.ipk

I've updated this package a little, so it works out of the box. For more information: http://onlinedev.blogspot.com/2008/10/getting-pingus-on-your-neo-freerunner.html

is this package still available? I get:
Failed to download http://www.opkg.org/packages/pingus_*.ipk, error 404 when trying to install it. Sander wrote: (2008-11-07 11:31:57)
I still have the packages available at http://3v8.net/~sander/openmoko
However, as with all binary packages here, they were built at a certain point in time, which might become incompatible with the latest distributions at any moment. I'm still waiting for OpenEmbedded to merge the recipe, so it can stay in sync with the distro. That said, my package does not (yet) have the auto-rotate-to-landscape convenience script that Dolf added, so you should try his packages first. I am currently working on a more generic solution, to have the recipe include the auto-rotate-to-landscape option for GTA0x devices while not affecting other OpenEmbedded supported platforms (which might not be portrait or 640x480) Ronny Standtke wrote: (2009-02-14 14:05:46)

@ppl above
its in SHR repros so you will not need the external link if using SHR otherwise : http://build.shr-project.org/shr-unstable/ipk//om-gta02/pingus_0.7.2-r0_om-gta02.ipk have fun. Graziano wrote: (2010-02-26 16:31:52)
I tried to install it in SHR with
opkg install pingus. It installs fine but then when I open it, it immediately closes. I am using the latest SHR Testing. Any ideas? Graziano wrote: (2010-03-01 10:15:08)
Just got a feedback from the pingus maintainer.
"It affects all fullscreen SDL applications. It has something to do with the new xrandr support (max dimensions not correct after xrandr rotate). Only solution right now is, as you found out, to run in windowed mode..." "I might update the ipk on my own server though, if I find time." I hope he will, pingus is really a great game. I will keep you all updated! Thanks. Sferic wrote: (2010-04-21 12:46:35)
