Mokosuite

Mokosuite is a set of phone applications written to replace phoneui in SHR. By now, these applications are present:

- Phone log
You can view incoming, outgoing and missed call, grouped by peer, showing time and date. You can call these numbers as well.

- Message reader and sender
Message browsing is thread-based and esthetically Android-like; so first you see a list of conversations, then you can select one: a list of messages will appear in chronological order. You can delete the conversation, send a reply message, call the contact, or write a new one.

Message reader is based on Opimd, Phone log instead reads from sqlite-calls.db directly, so python-sqlite is necessary.

** NOTE **
Some functionalities are in a drawer that will appear on POWER button press, so it is better to remove Enlightenment binding (even better delay it), and there are no close buttons (it is designed to close it with illume topshelf or via the AUX button).

These are some missing functionalities that you may notice:
- [FIXED - numbers only] Message reader is capable to reply only, sending from scratch will not work because adding recipients is not yet implemented
- Sending a message to a number from Phone log is not yet implemented
- Adding a number to contacts from Phone log or Messages is not yet implemented

Very soon I will put the source code in some versioning system.

Screenies please!
does it work on current shr-u?

daniele_athome wrote: (2009-12-01 07:02:14)
I'll add screeny as soon as possible :) I added the package very quickly.
It works ONLY on current shr-unstable, because of the changes in the new elementary.

Added a couple of screenshots :) Sorry they are in Italian, but they are understandable.

I'm a telefoninux.org moderator, are you a registered user? maybe in this italian forum you could find out some developers who can help!

Hi Thomas, I know that forum but I\'m not registered. Anyway I already made a thought about telefoninux so I think I will register soon, and I will post my application, if it is possible. More than help with development I prefer feedback :) because I don\'t have much time to coordinate other people.

maybe you could just use googlecode/sourceforge/something_similar so we can contribute and you haven't to spend time coordinating contributors

sorry, the previus comment was written by me, not by daniele_athome ;)

what do you think about porting mokosuite to C++/Qt?

daniele_athome wrote: (2009-12-22 15:46:24)
To view the latest GUI enhancements, you need at least revision svn 44647 of elementary. If you want the binary package just leave a comment here or contact me privately. Anyway mokosuite will continue to work.
