gtkaddpoi

gtkaddpoi is a simple gtk interface for search an address and add as POI on TangoGPS. You can insert cordinate and description for geocaghing. It's use Yahoo Maps API for found coordinate from an address and put this POI on TangoGPS database. You can also delete a POI from TangoGPS database or export to KML ( http://lists.openmoko.org/pipermail/community/2008-December/038449.html ) or into Navit bookmark.

pygtk is known in repository as python-pygtk

It dosent work on my shr unstable. If i add a Poi i can´t find it in Tango.

same for me.. i could search a adress, see the map-part, click yes, but there are no pois.. :/

oh... yes...
maybe you have put a / or " or ' or other strange characters in "address" field or in "name" field
the sql query fail with this characters

with the versione 0.7 this bug is fixed
