scummvm

ScummVM is a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games, provided you already have their data files. The clever part about this: ScummVM just replaces the executables shipped with the games, allowing you to play them on systems for which they were never designed!

The mouse and the stylus are rarely synced. The mouse has a varying offset from the stylus, making it impossible to control (with the stylus at the edge of the screen, the mouse in SCUMMVM is in the middle, so you can't get the SCUMMVM mouse to the edge). This is in SHR. Anyone know how to stop this? :(

Just move finger and catch the cursor in the corner of the screen. Now it will be synced and will work just fine.

I just installed scummvm on om2008.12, and it seems to have some problems there:
First, i had to set E_IPC_SOCKET manually (was not set by illume). After that it seems to wprk. but without audio, i see this error when starting scummvm in a terminal:
WARNING: Could not open audio device: No available audio device!
(and some other audio-related messages when i actually start a game)

It has worked before (FDOM based on 2008.9). Alsamixer (only other sound related app. installed) works.

The trick of "cornering" the pointer doesn't work as well anymore :-(

Any clues ?

Just ignore what i said about E_IPC_SOCKET, if i run it from a terminal on the phone (instead of via ssh) it works, only the audio stuff remains.

I just re-installed, starting with a clean om2008.12 image, and now everything works.

In SHR test it installed successfully with just:

opkg install http://downloads.tuxfamily.org/3v1deb/openmoko/scummvm_0.12.0_armv4t.ipk

It grabbed the dependencies libmpeg2 and libvorbis from the shr repository

It loads fine, but I haven't tried any games yet

I installed it without problems and I've even tried one game. It loads ok but I've got some issues with the cursor in the screen. If I touch the borders of the screen the cursor starts acting weird and it doesn't press where I press

On SHR Testing it failed to install due to missing dependency:

Collected errors:
* ERROR: Cannot satisfy the following dependencies for scummvm:
* libvorbis *
* Cannot find package scummvm.
